Phil is a veteran with over 30 years in the “Cognitive Search” and “Question Answering” domains across multiple industry sectors, including a three-year foray into E-commerce search (B2B and B2C). Prior to founding Pureinsights, Phil worked for Excalibur Technologies, Convera Corporation, Endeca and Search Technologies. Most recently Phil was Accenture’s Lead Architect for the Search and Content Analytics group in Europe, following its acquisition of Search Technologies in 2017. Phil finds the art of “cognitive search” and applying leading AI technologies to search projects as exciting now as ever, especially projects that combine modern knowledge graph and NLP technologies with search engines for maximum value and powerful data driven insights. Phil studied Computer Science at Nottingham Trent University.
