Alper Yılmaz completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Massachusetts; he began his professional career in the United States and returned to Turkey 18 years later. He is a technology executive and researcher with over 20 years of experience in cybersecurity, big data systems, artificial intelligence architectures, and advanced digital technologies.
He has held senior positions at international technology companies, notably Motorola, and in Turkey at various institutions including the Ministry of the Interior, the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, and the Presidency. He has conducted research on cybersecurity, big data analytics, behavioral modeling, cloud technology, and AI-based systems.
In 2015, he launched and managed Turkey’s first applied artificial intelligence project within the Ministry of the Interior. As part of these efforts, he has conducted research in the fields of Big Data, machine learning, social media behavior analysis, data classification, and digital pattern modeling.
Today, he continues his work under the Cortagent AI umbrella, focusing on Agentic AI, AI Security, AI Governance, and next-generation multi-layered artificial intelligence systems.
